Death Is Not A Dead End Street
While mortal is his worldly strife
The Christians hope indeed is sweet
Beyond remains eternal life
T’is on, and on, no dead end street.

Gods way is best, his way is right
And far beyond this day of gloom
There comes a day when all is light
When God shall burst the moss grown tomb.

God had a brighter use for stone
He made the earth to sing for joy
Fair Eden held no gruesome bone
So let this truth your spirit buoy.
